2019 Summer Solstice Festival June 22

Join us for free, festive lakefront family fun on Saturday, June 22 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm . The fifth annual Summer Solstice event will be held in Wiswasser Park, at the Park Lake Beach, and at the Park Lake boat launch. Festivities include:

AT RICKARD BOAT LAUNCH ON PARK LAKE:

  • Summit Sports Kayak and Paddleboard Demonstrations: Free demonstrations of popular small watercraft (ages 16 and up)
  • Big Net Casting: Individuals and families working together with MSU Fisheries to cast a BIG net into the lake, pull it up and discover what lies underneath the water

At Park Lake Beach

First Annual Cardboard Boat Building Competition and Race

  • 5:30 – 7:00 Registration at the Gazebo at Park Lake Beach
  • 7:00 pm: Cardboard boat judging
  • 8:00 pm: Cardboard boat race (watch Bath Police challenge East Lansing Police in this inaugural event!)


At Wiswasser Park, across from Park Lake

4:00 until sold out

Grilled hamburgers and hot dogs grilled by Bath Lions Club, served with chips and a drink
